The market for biogas is in strong growth globally. The background is the increasingly stricter environmental demands for handling of waste water and organic waste. The development is also driven by considerable investments in developing bio fuels as alternative to fossil fuels.
In many countries biogas is primarily used for production of hot process water and steam, possibly supplemented by power generation from a boiler steam turbine. However, it is getting more common to combust the biogas in high efficient gas engines as this gives a power production which is substantial higher than the traditional route.
Utilizing biogas for engine operation is only possible if the content of sulphur compounds is reduced to an absolute minimum. Cleaning of the biogas will also ensure that sulphur dioxide (SO2) emissions are reduced considerably.
Therefore, a gas cleaner from BioGasclean is both economically and environmentally a good solution. By utilizing biogas for efficient co-generation of electricity and heat it is possible – on the same time - to achieve both environmental objectives and attractive returns on investments.
